Investing for a Bright future

Smart Investment in a Bright Future

We know public investment in infrastructure drives private investment and economic development. This year we will be investing $72 million in new public infrastructure: fire stations, a broadband network, expanded snowmelt, a public ice-skating park, and much more!

A well-run city, with reliable, affordable, efficient and essential utility services, a vibrant downtown, and exciting amenities, like parks, playgrounds, waterfront access, and a public ice-skating rink not only makes Holland a great place to live, work, and play, it makes it easier for employers to attract the employees they need to thrive.

In the last year alone, over $2.7 billion dollars of new commercial investment occurred in Holland. This is in addition to the over 500,000 square feet of new commercial construction that started during the pandemic.

New small businesses continue to open and thrive throughout our community.

Private investment brings the jobs and economic prosperity essential for Holland’s bright future.

As Holland’s Mayor, I want to continue to encourage investment that creates good jobs, attracts and retains the highest quality workforce, and strengthens our economic future.
